Privacy policy

What this website handles, why, and how to contact us about your information.

Fallen Dahu by Bossey · Nyon, Switzerland · contact@fallendahu.ch
Last updated: 9 September 2026

The short version: this site uses Google Analytics, which sets cookies, so we can see how the site is used; you can refuse those cookies in the banner. Beyond that, the only personal data we handle is what you type into the Work with us form, which reaches us by email, and, once the newsletter is open, the address you give Mailchimp to receive it. We never sell or share your data. Write to us and we will show you what we hold, or delete it.

1. Who is responsible

The controller for personal data processed through fallendahu.ch is Fallen Dahu by Bossey, the sole proprietorship (raison individuelle) of Jacky Bossey, Nyon, Switzerland. Registered in the commercial register of the canton of Vaud under CH-550.1.252.868-9. Contact for privacy matters: contact@fallendahu.ch.

Processing follows the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP, revised version in force since 1 September 2023).

2. What we collect, and why

Just browsing. Fonts and images are served from our own site. Our hosting provider (Kreativmedia, METANET AG, Zurich) keeps standard technical server logs (IP address, browser type, time of request) for the security and operation of the server, for a limited period defined by the host. We do not use them to identify visitors.

Analytics and cookies. We use Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited, with Google LLC, USA) to understand how the site is used: pages visited, how you arrived, approximate location, device and browser type. For this, Google Analytics sets cookies on your device (notably _ga, kept for up to two years) and processes the data on Google’s servers, including in the United States, under Google’s data processing terms and safeguards recognised by Swiss law. IP addresses are truncated before storage and we only look at aggregated statistics; we never combine them with what you send us through the forms. The cookie banner lets you accept or refuse these cookies, and you can change your choice at any time through the banner’s settings, by deleting cookies in your browser, or with Google’s opt-out browser add-on. Refusing them changes nothing else on the site. We set no other cookies and run no advertising trackers.

Work with us form. Your name, email address and message are sent by email to our studio mailbox (info@fallendahu.ch) so we can reply to you and handle the conversation that follows. Nothing is stored in the website’s database. To block abuse, the form keeps a counter for ten minutes keyed on a hashed version of your address; it is deleted automatically. Our mailboxes are hosted on Google Workspace; Google processes email on our behalf under its data processing terms, which can involve processing outside Switzerland under safeguards recognised by Swiss law.

Newsletter. Until the newsletter is connected, the form on this site sends nothing. Once open, subscribing sends your email address, optionally your first and last name, and the page you joined from (Home, About or Games) to Mailchimp (Intuit Inc., USA), the service that delivers the newsletter. Subscription uses double opt-in: you are only added after clicking the confirmation link Mailchimp emails you, and that confirmation, including technical data such as your IP address, is the proof of your consent. Every newsletter carries an unsubscribe link. Mailchimp processes this data in the United States under its data processing agreement and safeguards recognised by Swiss law.

Press kit downloads and external links. Downloads collect nothing. Links to partners, supporters and social networks open other websites with their own privacy practices; our pages do not load their widgets.

We collect nothing else. No profiling, no automated decision-making, no advertising data.

3. Who else sees it

Nobody. We do not sell, rent, trade or share your data with third parties, and we run no advertising. The only recipients are the service providers named above (hosting, analytics, email, newsletter delivery), acting on our instructions, and authorities where disclosure is required by law.

4. How long we keep it

  • Inquiries: for the duration of our exchange, then up to two years after the last contact, in case the conversation resumes.
  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe. A minimal suppression record may remain so that we respect your unsubscribe.
  • Analytics: statistics stay in Google Analytics for 14 months; the analytics cookie expires after two years unless you delete it earlier.
  • Server logs: the hosting provider’s standard short rotation.

5. Your rights

You can ask us at any time to see the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, receive it in a portable format, or withdraw a consent you gave (for example by refusing analytics cookies in the banner or unsubscribing from the newsletter). Write to contact@fallendahu.ch. We answer within 30 days, and deletion means deletion. We may need to verify your identity, and we may need to keep records required by law.

If you believe we handle your data unlawfully, you may complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), www.edoeb.admin.ch.

6. Children

This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect their data. Playtest participation is intended for people aged 16 or older.

7. Changes

If the site gains a feature that touches personal data (a shop, a playtest sign-up, a new analytics tool), this policy will be updated before that feature goes live, with the date above changed accordingly.
